After perusing the various "wiki" websites, I came to a couple of conclusions:#1 There is an abundance of information that we have access to.
#2 This access is nearly instantaneous.
#3 I'm not sure I understand, or want to understand a "do-ocracy"
I am one of those big bad faculty members that does not allow my students to cite Wikipedia in their research papers. I believe the information is often relevant to research, and a good starting point to gather general information. However, I would never tell my students to cite an encyclopedia, which is the model Wikipedia is based off of.Wiki-Hoax?
